Justyna is an Associate Director of Antibody Analytics joining the company in April 2017 and is responsible for all flow cytometry service developments and methods. Within this role Justyna is also responsible for establishing new methods in our Translational Immunology business unit.
Justyna completed her PhD in Immune Regulation at University of Warsaw during which she was awarded two prestigious fellowships (from Federal European Biochemical Society and German Academic Exchange Service) to conduct part of her PhD research at University of Humboldt, Berlin. From 2008 until 2014, Justyna continued her scientific career in academia in the group of Professor William Harnett at University of Strathclyde, Glasgow where she further pursued her interest in modulation of the innate immune cell functions by small molecule candidate drugs and has co-authored over 20 scientific publications and 2 book chapters.
In 2014, Justyna moved from academia to Aquila BioMedical, a University of Edinburgh spin out company, where she successfully established a range of immunoassays defining both efficacy and the mechanism of action of various small molecule and biologic drugs. As a Senior Scientist, she acted as the myeloid cell expert with a specific focus on tumour associated macrophage biology and modelling tumour - immune cell interactions in in vitro assays using tumour patient derived cells.
